We will flood your life with exciting must- have ideas, cool new do-it-yourself projects, secret family recipes, trendy decorating tips, fun hacks from everyday items, and valuable worthwhile e-books and tutorials to make everyday life so much easier.
The true meaning of a “vibe” is: “The atmosphere of a place as communicated to and felt by others”, “a feeling”, or “an
 emotional state”. The atmosphere here at Behind-the-vibe is relaxed, whimsical, happy, you could even say euphoric, because we are so passionate about all of the fresh new ideas we have to share with our family and our readers, who we are sure will soon become our friends.
Each week will be introducing a “vibe” of the week. Some of our own and some from our readers. Whether its a how to, a hack, a recipe, or some amazing room setting you can get on a budget, we will do our best to relay any information to you in a clear, concise, fun and entertaining way. We will get you all the information you need to complete a project, a task, make a lifestyle change, or mix up your fashion aspirations.

Michelle and Dawn We get your vibe!

Meet the Sisters, Dawn and Michelle. Dawn has always been them more artistic sister, and Michelle the more academic, but Michelle has always shared her sister’s creativity gene.  We have created this blog to convey all of the super cool topics, projects, decorating ideas, recipes and products that we are totally obsessed with to you, our amazing friends.  So, here’s a little more background information on each of us.

Hi!  I’m Dawn.  

I’m super excited about our Behind the Vibe lifestyle blog, so I can finally share with all of you my 20 plus years of experience in the home decorating and interior design business.  I began my career, well, lets just say a long time ago, designing and creating window fashions out of my home while my children were still small. Over the years, my small home business turned into a design studio including kitchen design and home makeovers with a retail and internet store.  I love designing and creating anything, from homes and curtains right down to weddings, birthdays, and baby shower themes.  So, let’s start creating together.

Hi,  I’m Michelle.

I’m even more super excited than my sister to have this blog up and running...and don’t mind the friendly competition over who is more excited,It’s just a sister thing. 👭.  After years of working in the legal field, I sold my business and am free to finally use that creative gene we spoke of in the forward. I have spent years educating people in my profession on legal topics I’m passionate about, and now I get to educate our amazing readers and friends on the fun and creative topics I’m passionate about, and I get to do it with my favorite sister (well, she’s my only sister) 🤷🏼‍♀️. 

As you can imagine, as sisters we don’t always get along or agree on things which can be evidenced through some of our tutorials and videos, but hey, what fun would it be if we were constantly nice to each other.  I’m sure at some point my sister will tell you how I can’t cut a straight line in a piece of fabric, which she is amazing at 😡, but I’m also sure at some point I will be telling you how she can’t bake to save her life 😂.  As a matter of fact, my niece Kandace plays a game on facebook called “What did Dawn try to make this time?”  And all of our friends and family must try and guess what she made by a photo of a disastrous mess (share some photos of her messes).  Oh what fun we have.  I can’t wait for our readers to get involved in our game.  I guess we can’t all be perfect at everything?  Anyway,  we hope you join us to see how much fun we can have together designing and creating your perfect life.
